Biography

Jim Wagy might seem like a new comer in the world of music, but he’s been developing his music skills since the tender age of  seven.His life-long passion for making music began in the second grade when he and his mother made a deal. She told him that she’d buy him a drum set if he took piano lessons for a year.He took those lessons and was rewarded with a  25 dollar red-sparkle drum set. It wasn’t much to look at but it inspired an unending love for music and rhythm.

Jim played music throughout elementary and high school, increasing his knowledge and understanding of music along the way. It was during his time at Missouri Western State College that Jim began to question exactly what role music would play in his life. Seeking answers, Jim hit the road with various bands. His experiences on the road cast a new light on his musical aspirations. Though still passionate about music, he decided to join the family business and build a career at McDonald’s.
 
It was the loss of his father in 2004 that inspired Jim to reconnect with music. He began the healing process by pouring his heart and soul into songwriting. The words and melodies flowed so naturally that Jim felt called to build a career as a songwriter, producer and musician. His music is passionate, uplifting and relevant to the problems of today. Jim hopes to inspire, challenge and motivate listeners worldwide.
